How the BARC Score works
The BARC Score Financial Performance Management DACH 2023 is an evaluation of 14 providers based on comprehensive criteria across two dimensions: "Portfolio Capabilities" and "Market Execution".
Aspects such as software architecture including integration and connectivity options, user-friendliness, range of functions, customer satisfaction and product strategy were assessed.
What is financial performance management?
BARC defines FPM as, “processes, methods and tools for planning, steering, controlling and improving an organization’s performance and profitability.” FPM includes financial consolidation and close, financial planning, financial reporting, and analysis and operational planning and forecasting.
What is the importance of financial performance management?
According to BARC, FPM is “one of the central management tasks in the organization at strategic, tactical and operational levels.” FPM enables organizations to monitor performance on a mass scale, seamlessly execute financial management processes, and make strategic decisions that consider implications to the entire enterprise.
