Karen Abramson is the CEO of Wolters Kluwer’s Corporate Performance & ESG (CP & ESG) division, which comprises four award-winning global businesses: Corporate Performance Management (CCH® Tagetik), ESG & EHS (Enablon), Audit (TeamMate), and Corporate Tax (CCH® SureTax and CCH® Axcess). These businesses deliver cloud-based solutions that empower finance, sustainability, audit, risk, EHS, and corporate tax professionals to achieve sustainable, data-driven growth.

Under Karen’s leadership, the CP & ESG division employs approximately 2,500 people in 31 countries and serves customers in 155 countries, including 88% of Fortune 500 companies and more than 2,000 offices of the CFO. Its integrated technology platform advances corporate performance management, ESG and EHS transformation, and AI-enabled audit and assurance.

Career Highlights

Before leading CP & ESG, Karen served as CEO of Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting, where she was named six times by CPA Practice Advisor among the Most Powerful Women in Accounting. She has also been listed multiple times among the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting.

Karen is a member of the Forbes Technology Council and Washington Post Intelligence Council, and has served on the Executive Boards of the Software Information Industry Association (SIIA) and the Association of American Publishers. She previously sat on the Outsell European Executive Council.

    I believe innovation starts closest to the customer. When employees collaborate directly with clients, they uncover insights that lead to transformative, AI-driven solutions. My role is to empower that creativity and scale it globally.

    Being Future Ready means helping organizations anticipate change, harness data responsibly, and use technology to drive better outcomes for people, businesses, and the planet.

    The rise of Agentic AI, shifting disclosure requirements, and the need for integrated data ecosystems are redefining how CFOs, internal audit, sustainability and other C-suite leaders make decisions.
