David Teo has more than 20 years of Singapore legal experience and is the Founder Managing Director of LONGBOW Law Corporation, a Singapore law practice focusing on:
(1) Transactional Work: This includes M&A, VC/PE investment, corporate reorganisation, statutory amalgamation, business transfers and some funds related work.
(2) Employment & Regulatory: Advising on labour law issues, such as retrenchment, dismissal, discrimination, stock option/award plans, and opining on licensing requirements and exemptions under the Securities and Futures Act, Trust Companies Act, Payment Services Act, Moneylenders Act and Employment Agencies Act, to name a few.
(3) Singapore Tax & Trust: Advising on corporate and withholding tax issues, GST implications on transactions, stamp duty reliefs and tax treaty analysis, apart from advising licensed trust companies or high net worth individuals who are settlors of discretionary trusts.
David is also an Independent Director of British & Malayan Holdings Limited ("BMH"), a company listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited ("SGX-ST"), and he is the Chairman of BMH's Remuneration Committee, and also a member of its Audit Committee and Nominating Committee. He was previously a member of the Audit Committee of Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery, a charitable organisation in Singapore. David also serves as a Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths in Singapore.
