UAB worked with Emmi on an automated interactive voice response (IVR) phone call, where patients have the option to transfer to scheduling. They combined this with an EmmiEngage® program telling patients how to prepare for the procedure.
The result?
A significant improvement in scheduling efficiency, leaving staff more time for patient care. Additionally, patients who answered Emmi calls to schedule their appointment were more likely to start the procedure preparation program than patients who did not interact with the calls.
