Description
The official journal of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists disseminates outcomes of clinical nurse specialist practice, fosters continued development of the clinical nurse specialist role, and highlights clinical nurse specialist contributions to advancing nursing practice and health policy globally.

It publishes scholarly works by clinical nurse specialists and other advanced practice nurses whose manuscripts advance the practice of nursing.

Objectives of the journal are:
1. To disseminate knowledge about clinical nurse specialist practice
2. To communicate the outcomes of clinical nurse specialist practice on patients, families, groups and communities; the nursing profession; and health care systems, organizations, and networks
3. To foster discussion of issues and trends that impact clinical nurse specialist practice
4. To promote dialogue between clinical nurse specialists and other advanced practice nurses
