JAAOS: Global Research & Reviews (JAAOS Global) critically evaluates and synthesizes up-to-date information on the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal conditions, reflecting the current state of orthopaedic practice and patient care.

The journal publishes review articles, research articles and clinical trials, surgical techniques, case reports, and commentary. These articles are for the benefit of orthopaedic surgeons at all levels of their careers, from residency on, as well as orthopaedic researchers and healthcare professionals with an interest in orthopaedic

The journal is under the leadership of Gwo-Chin Lee, MD, FAAOS, Editor-in-Chief, the Editorial Board, and it is supported by its International Advisory Board. All submitted manuscripts will undergo the same rigorous peer review and strong ethical standards that have helped maintain the standing of JAAOS as the world's top journal in orthopaedics.

At the launch of the journal in 2017, Jeffrey S. Fischgrund, MD, FAAOS, since 2014 Editor-in-Chief Emeritus, said: ""Our new journal is an excellent opportunity for authors worldwide to have their papers published in an AAOS journal. JAAOS Global Research & Reviews will publish high-quality original research and review articles monthly and the open access format allows all medical professionals with Internet access to read and learn from respected authors around the globe.""
