Dr. Brenda Omondi is a clinical informaticist responsible for Sentri7® Sepsis Monitor's (formerly POC Advisor) clinical content development, updating and maintenance of clinical functionality, and case reviews and analysis.
Dr. Omondi earned her bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and her Masters in health informatics from the University of Minnesota. She practiced in various disciplines of medicine for almost seven years including emergency medicine and internal medicine while undertaking various leadership roles. Dr. Omondi has experience in quality and patient safety analytics. Her areas of interest include infectious diseases, clinical decision support, and natural language processing.
She is a member of American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) MN Chapter.
