What's Trending in Methodology Change and How to Make New Rules

According to the Touchstone Insights for Internal Audit research, 47 percent of the respondents indicate they are planning a significant methodology change by the end of 2021.

While many of the participants responded to the research survey before the global pandemic struck, it can only be assumed that those events have fast-tracked the need for methodology upgrades.

In the research, respondents identified four methodology changes that their internal audit departments are focused on: continuous risk assessment, agile audit, integrated analysis, and continuous controls monitoring.
