WEBVTT My name is Shihan Ramasundara Dara and I'm the financial controller at the Australian Turf Club or the ATC, we run four thoroughbred racing venues across Sydney: Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Warwick Farm and Canterbury Park.
We have revenues of 260 million across all the venues. We are a company that operates across four venues in 26 departments.
The operational scope of the ATC is quite broad.
We have departments looking after our property commercial, hospitality, racing and corporate services.
Prior to using CCH Tagetik the main pain point was around the budgeting process using Excel spreadsheets.
We're a complex business operating across four venues and 26 departments and our primary offering is race day events, we always had to budget it all at an event level.
We have 110 race days across the four venues so we needed a customized system to be able to support that. Working with CCH Tagetik we were essentially able to set up our budgets around our race day events, also accommodating the fact that we need to budget at a venue level and at a department level.
So far we've implemented the budgeting, planning and forecasting systems as well as Collaborative Office and right now looking to move forward towards the analytical workspace.
The most notable benefit has been the removal of manual template preparation for our budgeting and forecasting process. Prior to CCH Tagetik we used to have to create templates in Excel, issue them, make sure they were correct and collect them manually.
Now it's all done in one go. I'd definitely recommended CCH Tagetik to any other organization.
