Function: Head of Internal Communications and HR Systems at Wolters Kluwer Spain

Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer, Manuel Cuadrado Basas held positions as HR Consultant, Multimedia Script Writer, e-Learning Developing Manager and Internal Communications Manager for different companies.

Why did you choose for Wolters Kluwer as an employer? 
I joined the Company in 2004, a moment of interesting changes both in Spain and in the worldwide organization. The HR Director convinced me about the opportunity of driving these changes in a new style, focused on the employees.
After four years, I do confirm I made the right decision: HR processes, policies and tools are now more innovative, the labour climate has also improved… but the most important achievement we ALL have reached is building a great team of people willing to do their best.

What are the challenges and opportunities for personal growth in your current function at Wolters Kluwer?
Wolters Kluwer Spain is in particular investing in employees’ personal growth. This statement has been proved by achieving the label as balancing certified company (EFR), and also by being recognized as the second best workplace in Spain (Great Place to Work Institute ®) according to employees’ opinion.
This means that personal growth doesn’t clash with professional opportunities,  something I personally enjoy at Wolters Kluwer. In fact, in the last four years, the HR Department has gone through a transition twice, and everyone in our team has assumed new responsibilities that help us learn, interact and challenge ourselves. So, never a dull moment at Wolters Kluwer!
