Interview Rogier Krijgsman

Function: Integration Manager for the European Technology Center, Online Services Division

Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer, Rogier Krijgsman held various management consulting positions in the Information Technology sector for companies such as AT&T and Atos Origin.

Why did you choose for Wolters Kluwer as an employer?
One of the most interesting things about Wolters Kluwer is that it is transforming from being a collection of independently managed publishing houses into an efficient centrally coordinated information services provider. This strategic transformation is pursued to support the growth of the online and software solutions. The shift towards becoming a centrally coordinated information services provider with a strong focus on online solutions poses an interesting and exciting time for us in the European Technology Division. We are continuously faced with new challenges and new opportunities such as the need for a better alignment of online product formats, online product functionalities, production standards and production processes. To be part of this shift and to be able to contribute to these changes are amongst the prime reasons for me to join Wolters Kluwer.

What are the challenges and opportunities for personal growth in your current function at Wolters Kluwer?
Wolters Kluwer encourages me to be entrepreneurial and to make a difference, which allows me to contribute on all levels and in all areas within the company. My role has been defined by my surroundings, by the responsibilities I have seized.

If you like a fast-paced, busy environment, then Wolters Kluwer is the employer for you. You definitely have to be a self-starter and proactive as being proactive at Wolters Kluwer, you can take charge of your own career!
