2013 Global Innovation Award

Innovation is the key to our success. That’s why we invest 8-10% annually in new product developments and encourage our employees to bring forward innovative ideas. This annual, company-wide Innovation Award is open to all employees, and inspires the best ideas to rise to the top.  

The 5 winners of our 2013 competition feature some outstanding ideas and projects in the categories: Greatest Value to Customers, Big Data Ideas, Mobile Apps and Business Model/Operational Innovation.

More than 700 ideas and projects came in from employees all across the company earlier this year. Through a rigorous selection process, which included Innovation Tournaments with company-wide voting, 16 teams were invited to present their project or idea to the Innovation Board, a jury featuring prominent external and internal innovation experts.


The winning projects or ideas were chosen based on their potential to drive innovation and new ways of doing business across the organization.
