Ulrich Hermann

As CEO of Wolters Kluwer Germany since 2005, Ulrich Hermann successfully transformed the German legal and regulatory business with a substantial portfolio shift from a print-based publishing into today’s online and software-driven information solution provider. Wolters Kluwer Germany today offers a wide range of leading information and software solutions with focus in the legal & regulatory and tax & accounting markets.

Prior to his position at Wolters Kluwer Germany, Ulrich Hermann was Executive Board Member of the professional publishing arm of Sueddeutsche Verlag. Before that, he headed Bertelsmann Springer’s international B2B business as Executive Vice President with businesses in Central Eastern Europe, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, and the U.K. Hermann has more then 14 years experience in the industry.

Hermann holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aachen, Germany and M.I.T. Cambridge, USA, as well as a PhD in Economics from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. In 2004 he was elected to serve as Director of the Institute for Industrial Information Management at the University of Aachen.
